Treasure Maps to the Soul

What People Say:

"I got so much deeper than I ever have before. Focusing seems to have three-dimensionalised! I came home feeling transformed. I have experienced how dramatically perspectives can change. I have experienced the fluidity of Process more than ever before and it has demonstrated to me that hope is always there. Before Treasure Maps, my hope had a desperate flavour – now I see that it can be joyful. I have experienced transformation – now I believe in magic. Magic and miracles – I feel that life is made of those! It was all wonderful! I will be back. Wish I could afford the time and money to come to them all!"
– J.B., Shropshire, England

"Thank you so much for the Treasure Maps experience. I found it so incredibly helpful for getting to issues that I feel have been getting in my way, but that I had not been able to access. I thoroughly enjoyed your style of teaching. I so much appreciate all the work that you, Ann and Barbara, have gone through and the fact that you paid so much attention to the process that you can share it with others. I also appreciate the fact that you were so open with your own vulnerabilities. It is an inspiration to me that you are so vulnerable, open, real, spontaneous and I know you have gotten to this place through this work. Not only are these very attractive qualities in a person, but it proves the success of what you teach."
– E.K., Chicago IL

"I am so grateful for the week I spent in New York with Ann and Barbara. It was a very good week for me and the fruits continue to roll in. I was able to incorporate much of what I learned into the three basic levels I teach and even into a further practice session. Focusing for me, has been greatly clarified and most participants are able to tap into its riches more quickly using your approach. My own Focusing group (my trainers) have individually and collectively grown immensely with it. Their whole demeanor and presentation style was very welcoming and affirming. I deeply appreciated that week and yes I would like more."
– Marie-Anne Quennevile

"In Ann and Barbara's workshop, I was able to experience what it feels like to be in the "big I" space – that wholeness in which I am not any of the parts but which can hold and listen to all these aspects of my total being, without taking sides and without acting from them. It is a wonderful place to inhabit, and has allowed for some major shifts in ways of relating to others and to my own felt senses. Out of all the workshops I've taken, the Treasure Maps has had the biggest impact on me personally and how I work with my clients.”
– Glenn Fleisch

Does this sound familiar? You feel blocked. It feels like a struggle – even a war inside – and at times you probably feel helpless, frustrated, even despairing about the whole thing.

Wouldn’t it be great to discover that all of this makes sense, that the very frustration and despair you feel is part of the key to unlock the door to your wholeness?

Treasure Maps to the Soul is a body of theory and practice that is also an inner journey. Barbara McGavin and Ann Weiser Cornell have been developing this work since 1994, out of their own struggles with difficult areas, and out of their work with others and their enduringly popular retreats in beautiful parts of the world.

Treasure Maps to the Soul is a powerful way of transforming any stuck area of your life, any inner struggle, any place where your energy is bound up in fear, shame, confusion, self-criticism, and despair.

More than just techniques, Treasure Maps embodies a philosophy of the radical importance of every part of you: how even the most critical “critics” and rebellious “rebels” hold vitally important aspects of your essence.

Our models have helped hundreds of people to find their way through the mazes of their inner world, with a renewed, lighter spirit and deeper sense of self.

Barbara McGavinBarbara McGavin is the co-creator of Treasure Maps to the Soul. Barbara has been practicing Focusing since 1983 and now teaches Focusing full time. She is an Accrediting Mentor of the British Focusing Teacher's Association and a Certifying Coordinator for The Focusing Institute.
