Treasure Maps to the Soul is an advanced Inner Relationship Focusing training that depends on previous experience and a high level of self-responsibility among participants. You must have a fair amount of previous Focusing and Focusing partnership experience (Level Two or equivalent) to take Treasure Maps to the Soul. If you are not sure about whether you have enough experience, please contact either Ann or Barbara.

Numbers are limited to a maximum of 26 people in any retreat.

February 27 – March 4, 2012
Edenvale Retreat and Conference Center, Abbotsford, BC, Canada

Edenvale Retreat Centre is located in the beautiful Fraser Valley in Southwest British Columbia, in the heart of the daffodil capital of Canada! Only an hour’s drive east of Vancouver — and a ten minute drive from the Abbotsford International Airport.

Edenvale sits nestled on 38 acres of incredible nature, forest and gardens. From the solitude of the peaceful forested walking trail, to the colorful palette of flowers and wild areas, the energy and serenity of the grounds offers workshop participants rejuvenation of body, mind and spirit.

Workshop Fee:
$925 (US funds)
$100 discount if you have attended a Treasure Maps retreat in the past.

All rooms are European style, bathrooms (showers, sinks, toilets) shared in the hall.

April 29 – May 5, 2012
Hangar Adama & I Bike, Mitzpe Ramon, Israel

Our workshop will be held in two venues in Mitzpe Ramon, an eco-tourist destination in a beautiful area of Israel’s southern desert, some three hours south of Tel Aviv and an hour south of Beer Sheba. We will sleep and eat our meals at the warm and friendly I Bike Hotel, and take a short walk to the spacious workshop room at Hangar Adama. Hanger Adama (Earth Hanger) is home for the Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal dance troop. Hangar is also used as dance studio, performing hall, workshops, seminars and similar spiritual, cultural and social events - all in a serene and magic atmosphere. The nearby I Bike Hotel was designed and constructed with special magic to reflect love for the desert, freedom and hospitality. This boutique hotel is comprised of broad spaces that also provide a warm homey feeling. Designed for holidays for groups, families and individuals, the hotel also offers a large patio with pools, lay-about corners, desert views and even a petanque court!

Room and board is approximately 1980 NIS to 2180 NIS per person. Accommodations are booked through the site coordinator in Israel. Information for making your room and board reservations will be provided in your confirmation letter.

Registration:
Payment of workshop fee in full is required for registration. Workshop fees are non-refundable. Information about paying for housing will be provided with your confirmation letter.

Charney Manor, Charney Bassett, Wantage, Oxon

Charney Manor, one of the oldest inhabited houses in Britain, is a place of tranqulity where people come for reflection, renewal, and retreat. It is located twelve miles south of Oxford in the Vale of the White Horse. Once the grange of the Benedictine abbey of Abingdon, the Manor is now owned and managed by the Society of Friends (Quakers). With its comfortable rooms and delightful grounds, the Manor includes single and twin rooms, most of which are ensuite.

Single or Double room: £542 per person (GBP)

Single rooms will be assigned to those first requesting them. We can't hold a room type until you pay for it. Within a few days of registration, you will receive an email that says how to pay your room and board fees in GBP by bank transfer. If you care what type of room you get, especially if you want a single room, please make your payment as soon as possible AND let us know what type of room you would like. Without a room and board payment we cannot hold a type of room for you.

Registration:
Payment of $450 non-refundable retreat deposit is ordinarily required for registration. This payment applies to your Workshop Fees. Instructions for paying for your housing fees will be provided with your confirmation email.

Frequently Asked Questions about Treasure Maps retreats:

When does the retreat actually start and end?
The workshop starts on the evening of the first day, after dinner, and ends just before lunch on the last day. Dinner on the first day and lunch on the last day are included.

What is the schedule?
We meet as a group for three hours each morning and three hours each afternoon. Paired practice is included in those three hours. In the evenings, participants are free to take quiet time or join others for shared activities like singing, dancing, storytelling, improv games.

Is there Focusing time every day?
Yes, you will be Focusing in partnership each day, for longer times each day, as you gain the resources you'll need to be with the deep places.

How much Focusing experience do I really need as a pre-requisite?
Although more is better, at a minimum you need to be able to be a Focusing partner, able to direct your own Focusing process and accompany someone else. We have found that people need at least two Levels of Focusing training (or its equivalent) to feel sufficiently relaxed and confident with Focusing so that they can concentrate on the subtleties of the Treasure Maps work.

I'd like to reserve a shared room but I don't know anyone else to bring with me.
Feel free to reserve a shared room even if you are coming by yourself; we'll be happy to assign you a roommate.

I'm concerned about money…
We want our retreats to be available to people who may have difficulty paying for them all at once, so we offer an interest free payment plan (minimal processing fees apply). Payment plans can be used to spread your workshop fee out over time, up to 12 months from the time you pay your deposit. Please note: Room and board fees are due in full prior to the start of the workshop and any deposit paid is applied against the room and board fees first.

Can I get CEUs for the retreat?
The Treasure Maps to the Soul retreat meets the qualifications for 35 hours of Continuing Education credits for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. PCE #1015. Depending on your state or country and your type of licensure, this may also be accepted by your licensing board. There is no fee for providing a CEU certificate after the retreat.
