Designed for people with advanced Focusing skills, our six-day retreats bring powerful, transformational change to any inner struggle where your energy is bound up in fear, shame, confusion, self-criticism, hopelessness, despair. Treasure Maps was created by Barbara McGavin and Ann Weiser Cornell to deepen the process of Focusing for yourself. More than just techniques, Treasure Maps embodies a philosophy of the radical importance of every part of you: how even the most critical ‘critics’ and rebellious ‘rebels’ hold vitally important aspects of your essence. There are three self-contained suites each with a private kitchen and washroom. Within each are either single rooms ($845), shared rooms ($745), or economy rooms, i.e., a single bed in a shared space ($670). Depending upon the number of attendees, more rooms may become available, none of which are en suite. Private, en suite rooms are extremely limited, so please be sure to book soon if this is your preferred room type. During registration, you will be asked to select and pay for your preferred room type. Due to such limited availability, private rooms will not be held until paid for. |

How Treasure Maps Came To Be
We (Barbara and Ann) discovered that changing our relationship with our “enemies” --those dark parts of us that seem to hold us captive-- is key to regaining our authentic vitality. When we were forced to come face to face with our own toughest life issues, including addiction and depression, we reached deep into the roots of Focusing to find what we needed. We learned about what enables transformational change: we learned how to “shift levels.” We learned that when we shift levels, our life energy naturally flows forward. And everything changes inside and around us. From these learnings, we developed four precise processes that create the conditions for transformational level shifting. We call it Treasure Maps to the Soul. Our own lives have transformed so much since 1994 when we began this work. The outer changes have been dramatic, however the most important changes are the ones that are not so visible. When we began life was scary. Life was full of disappointment and longing. Life was tough. Now? Life is surprising. The more that we feel confident that we can respond to the unexpected, the more that we can embrace whatever happens. Now we have the inner resources to face difficulties with equanimity and curiosity. Life is yummy. Each day is full of moments to be savored and felt and lived fully. We believe wholeheartedly in the radical importance of every part of you: how even the most critical “critics” and rebellious “rebels” carry your vital essence within them.
