Programs for Healing Professionals

Our programs have helped hundreds of therapists and other healing professionals to facilitate and support their clients.

You can get a good introduction to our work in our free phone seminars (available as an mp3 download) on working with client issues such as anxiety and depression.

As a next step we’d recommend having a One-to-One Session so you can experience being guided through an Inner Relationship Focusing process. (This is not a therapy session but it gives you an experiential sense of IRF using an issue or concern from your own life.) There is a way to receive CEU credit for this session as a Home Study.

After the session, most people go on to take the phone course in Focusing Level One for Therapists, to learn the Focusing process for yourself in the company of other healing professionals. If you wish, you can go on to take Levels Two through Four in special groups created for Healing Professionals. The content of these courses is aimed at your own process, which is a pre-requisite for being able to facilitate the process for your clients.

We also have a course which may be of interest to healing professionals. Called Demonstrations of Facilitating Focusing, you have a chance to listen to Ann Weiser Cornell introduce Focusing to three different newcomers, and then comment on the sessions afterward.

If you are interested in a DVD of Ann Weiser Cornell working with a client who needs a bit of extra help to come into a Focusing contact, we'd recommend the DVD called Working with a Storytelling Client, available from our webstore.

From time to time we offer phone seminars in many aspects of Focusing-oriented therapy.

All our workshops meet the qualifications for continuing education credits (CEUs) for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. PCE #1015.
