Level One Focusing Training

If you’re ready to take a course to learn Focusing in a supported way, this is the place to start.

Since 1992 we’ve been creating quiet miracles by teaching people the Inner Relationship Focusing process and we’d like to include you in that, by inviting you to take Level One Focusing, the first course in our Focusing Training Program.

Since we now teach the Focusing Training Program by phone seminar, you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home or office in order to take courses that used to be offered only in a few locations in the world.

Here are the Level One courses we have currently scheduled. We typically offer the Level One course eight times a year. Three of those are especially for Healing Professionals, and the rest of them anyone can join. We offer courses on different times and days to make them more accessible to more people.

What will you receive from taking the IR Focusing Training Program?

What the class actually includes:

  • Five two-and-a-half-hour meetings for a total of 12.5 hours of class time.
  • One individual Focusing session (50 minutes) with the course instructor. (Value: $160.) Information on scheduling your individual session will be provided in your confirmation letter.
  • 1/2 hour chat with Ann Weiser Cornell at the end of your last class - an opportunity to meet Ann and ask questions about Focusing.
  • Your own copy of The Focusing Student’s and Companion’s Manual (value: $25) mailed to you in time for the start of class, and also available by download if you register late or live far away. (And it will still come in the mail.)
  • Unique “crib cards” for every paired class exercise so you know exactly what to do to make the exercises most effective for yourself and your partner. (We innovated these crib cards and they really work.)
  • A “seating chart” with photos of the teacher, the assistants, and your fellow students so you can connect names with faces and you’re not just hearing voices in the dark. (We’ll ask you to send your own photo and we’ll help you do that if you’re not sure how.)
  • Access to recordings of every class – as mp3 downloads – usually by the next day and up to 30 days after the end of the class, so you’ll be able to listen again to anything you want to hear twice – or over and over again.
  • A private web page where you can access homework, recordings, and other important class information from any web browser.
  • A complimentary one-year electronic subscription to The Focusing Connection. That's right - 6 exciting issues full of practical articles designed to support integrating Focusing into your life.
  • Email and/or phone support from the teacher and the class assistants if you have questions between the class meetings or need extra help.

The Fee
The cost of the Level One Focusing course is $375 until 2 days before the course begins (then the fee goes up to $425). Class tuition is refundable up to 5 days before the start of class, minus a $35 processing fee; or, you can opt for a credit for the full amount to put towards a future class. Please note: $95 of your payment covers the cost of your session with Lucinda and will be refundable up to 5 days before the start of class, if you have not yet had an appointment with Lucinda.

(Please note, the phone number to dial in for class is a California number, so depending on your phone plan, there may be long-distance charges to factor in as part of your overall class cost.)
