Focusing-Oriented Case Consultation for Healing Professionals
A 3-session in-depth consultation group by phone led by Eugene Gendlin
facilitated by Ann Weiser Cornell
"I don't think I have ever experienced that kind of really deep agendaless listening." –Joan Hitlin
As those who took our course last year on “Focusing, Psychotherapy, and the Implicit” discovered, Eugene Gendlin has a gift for consultation on client sessions. He listens closely and compassionately to your description of what’s going on with your client, and then goes to the heart of the matter, often finding a surprising, fresh direction that opens up new possibilities. Tough clients, difficult reactions to clients, stuck situations, puzzles and questions – all are welcome. If you can role play your client and let Gene try different ways of responding, all the better. You will be able to bring your own questions; and there is great richness in hearing Gene respond to the questions of others, as well as relief when he shares his own stumbles and mis-steps. Facilitated by Ann Weiser Cornell.
Guidelines will be given for how to change client information so clients cannot be recognized. Because of the sensitivity of sharing client information, this course will never be made available to be purchased later as we plan for our other courses. Only registered participants may hear recordings of the course.
Pre-requisite: You need to be a therapist or other healing professional
Fee: $325
Where: By phone seminar
How phone seminars work
All you need is a phone, no special equipment, though a hands-free headset is helpful. Yes, you can even call with a cell phone or Skype, as long as the line is reasonably clear. When you register, you'll receive a special number to call, and your own PIN code. You'll be on a conference call with the teacher and a group of friendly fellow professionals. The teacher will be able to moderate the call from a master control panel. There will be lectures, question periods, and group exercises. We've been doing phone seminars since 2003 and we're old hands at it – and they work amazingly well.
