Demonstrations of Facilitating Focusing

No descriptions about the process of facilitating a Focuser can match actually being there when an experienced guide is working with someone new to Focusing.

This is a phone group for those who want to “watch” Ann Weiser Cornell facilitate Focusing. You will listen in as Ann guides a guest Focuser on the phone. The guest Focusers are volunteers who understand that their session will be witnessed by a safe and respectful group of people on the phone. In most cases this will be the first Focusing session for the guest.

Each Demo Class session is 90 minutes. The registered participants will gather and introduce themselves to each other at the start of the call. The guest will join us, and have a guided Focusing session of about 45 minutes, and then leave.

This will allow about 30 minutes at the end of the call for a discussion of the issues raised by the process, including: the specific language used, this person's type of Focusing process, and responses to special circumstances (eg working with a meditator...). Participants can also raise questions about people you are working with using Focusing.

All registered participants need to be on the bridge line within 5 minutes of the start of the class, in order to create a safe atmosphere for the guest.

Every class meeting can be downloaded as an mp3 by class participants only, for 30 days after each class. Recordings of classes are also available on audio CD for $10 per class, ($5 per CD) only to registered participants.

To allow more people to participate, dates and times w ill change with each new series of three meetings, so if the current group is at an inconvenient time for you, check this page again in a month for new dates.

There is no prerequisite for participation in this phone group.

The cost for three meetings is $120 paid in advance. (That's $40 for each meeting.)
